THE PROCESS

What I do is provide an "Independent Medical Opinion" (aka Nexus Letter) which either establishes service-connection for a diagnosis or increases the rating for the diagnosis by indicating how much more severe it has become.
With the package, it includes the record review, video evaluation, and the actual report (along with applicable DBQs). I complete the record review for free and I let you know whether or not I can accept your case ahead of time. I write very comprehensive Nexus Letters that include all the pertinent information that the VA looks for. I am a Psychiatrist which means I am a Physician who is specialized in Psychiatry. I completed Medical School and I was a Flight Surgeon in the US Air Force for 4 years before specializing in Psychiatry by completing a residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. I can write Nexus Letters about Primary Mental Health Conditions and Secondary Mental Health/Medical Conditions as well (see below for a list of common primary and secondary conditions)

The total cost of the package is $900 - $1750* depending on the number of diagnoses and complicated nature of each case - keeping in mind the below is suggested pricing but may vary depending on amount of past medical records. Remember - this price also includes follow up questions you may have about the evaluation. There are no guarantees on results from the VA of course - however, if the claim is denied, I will review the decision letter and give relevant advice. If I believe a rebuttal medical opinion would be helpful, I will provide it. I typically spend multiple days on each evaluation to be thorough. In general, this is the pricing schematic:

Video Evaluation, DBQ and/or Nexus Letter/Independent Medical Opinion - Level 1 Complexity: $900
Video Evaluation, Nexus Letter/Independent Medical Opinion, and DBQ - Level 2 Complexity: $1050
Video Evaluation, Nexus Letter/Independent Medical Opinion, and DBQ - Level 3 Complexity: $1250
Video Evaluation, Nexus Letter/Independent Medical Opinion, and DBQ - Level 4 Complexity: $1500
Video Evaluation, Nexus Letter/Independent Medical Opinion, and DBQ - Level 5 Complexity: $1750
Any Higher Complexity: Fee will be discussed when setting up appointment. This is very rare.

*The exact pricing may be different depending on the amount of past records. The first section of each report is the "Evidence Analysis" section. If there are a lot of medical records to summarize in this section, the fee may be higher than based on number of diagnoses. As always, I will let you know about the total fee before you sign up for the full evaluation.*
I also complete a Free Record Review during the intake process.

Testimonial:

"Not only did he develop a truly outstanding NEXUS letter but he also developed a Disability Benefits Questionnaire commonly referred to as a 'DBQ'. I am therefore able to submit both documents to the VA for my claim. I know that at least one other company requires an additional fee for a DBQ beyond what would be paid for only a NEXUS letter. I suspect this extra fee for DBQ might be the industry standard. I am grateful Dr. Sharma didn’t charge me an extra fee for this DBQ and I didn’t even have to ask him for it. He volunteered it. Regarding the products he provided me: I was really impressed with the quality of his work. Being a retired Navy nurse, I can say with conviction that what he wrote and how he wrote it was outstanding. It was clear and evident that he went through my records with a fine-toothed comb and connected all the proverbial dots to make his point loud and clear. He was very detail oriented. In all, I could tell that he must have spent at least eight hours and maybe up to 10 or 12 hours doing the records review and putting his thoughts down in a logical and concise manner to capture the whole picture."
